The days when one would head off for a bushwalking holiday and stay in a run-down shack are over. The bar has been lifted, and there is no better example than Blue Ridge Retreat.It is a given you’ll want to explore the breathtaking beauty of the Grampians through iconic walks like the famed Pinnacle. Try horse riding, mountain biking, winery tours and perhaps a day spa treatment. It’s likely, though, that the pinnacle of your Grampians experience will be your stay at Blue Ridge Retreat. After a barbeque on the balcony, we suggest slipping into the sunken spa in the master bedroom to soak your weary bones while looking out at the stars. After that, sink into the fireside lounge and watch a DVD with full surround sound. In the morning, spot kangaroos, rosellas, kookaburras and even the occasional deer and echidna – all over breakfast on the balcony. How very civilised.
Sitting at the foot of The Pinnacle lookout and moments from Halls Gap, Blue Ridge Retreat is the perfect place for a couple (or perhaps two) to share a Grampians encounter in today’s modern and very indulgent style.
