The setting of Frog Gully Cottages is quite magical – and it is not only the paying guests that think so. This is a precious eco-system for a plethora of wildlife: birds, wombats, wallabies, echidnas, koalas and the native frogs that inspired the two cottage names – Pobblebonk and Tiddalik.The design is all about capturing the elevated view of the wetlands from the lounge as well as from each bedroom (which have their own ensuites) so guests can be assured of seeing all the splendour unfold from dawn to dusk. Facing north, you’ll experience all the colours of sunrise and sunset, so it is little wonder most guests choose to stay in and make use of the full kitchen, sunny lounge and spacious decks to truly appreciate the setting. You could say it’s like clock-watching, only it’s Nature’s clock.
Nature is the main, but not the only, attraction. Sale is moments away for dining and golfers will love being on the doorstep of Sale Golf Club. And this location places you in the middle of Gippsland so you can travel in all directions to experience the region, assuming you can muster the will to leave this haven.
