If the idea of a hilltop farm and vineyard with almost infinite views in the King Valley’s renowned wine region sounds irresistible, then welcome to Mt Bellevue. This 1000-acre property sits at the end of a winding track that takes visitors to a veritable Shangri La of rural contentment. And we’ll mention those views again – utterly captivating.Owner Winnie Jones breeds Welsh Black cattle, and if you like animals there are geese, peacocks and a few woofers around. Walk to the lookout, and you might even see a wombat.
However, it’s the accommodation and eating opportunities that make Mt Bellevue special. The small shop has beef, wine and other produce available (including prepared meals), and you can choose between country-style cottage options or sumptuous suites. Add a tennis court and swimming pool to the mix and nowhere could be more welcoming or relaxing.
