Even if you aren't motivated to try dancing cheek to cheek here, it will be hard to keep the opening lines of Irving Berlin's popular song out of your head … ‘Heaven, I'm in heaven'. These very contemporary, supremely comfortable cabins are perched up near heaven's gate and are about as close as you will get to that divine state in this life.The Heavens Mountain Escape has three very contemporary gems in private settings. The Aurora and Inanna one-bedroom cabins offer a liberating sense of space and are oriented towards magnificent valley views. You could spend days snuggled in these havens for two and never feel like venturing forth. The newly-styled Elysium is also perfect for a couple, but with two bedrooms, two couples travelling together will revel in this stylish space. Wake to views that would do the gods proud, sink into the spa and watch the mountains go through their various moods.
Also sharing the views with you are a herd of alpacas, together with local wildlife including kangaroos, wombats, echidnas and varied bird life. The hosts also operate canoe hire on the Kangaroo River and if you're feeling energetic, mountain biking is also an option.
