Located in The Rocks, Sydney's historic heart, this charming hotel is the perfect place from which to explore Sydney. The lovely 1887 exterior houses a range of bright and spacious guest suites.Each room is individually decorated and has its own special flavour. Rustic pine dressers, restored marble washstands and antique iron beds capture the character of the hotel, and the fluffy bathrobes just add to the comfort of your stay. The largest rooms overlook buzzing Circular Quay, however guests in search of absolute tranquillity might prefer one of the courtyard rooms, or one above Nurses Walk. And The Russell is home to one of Sydney's best-kept secrets – a divine roof-top garden, which makes a wonderful place for relaxing, perhaps over a morning coffee with a paper or a drink at the end of a day of exploration.
The Russell is centrally located if you choose to explore Sydney the smart way – on foot. Nightclubs, shopping and dining options are right at your doorstep and Sydney's oldest pub, the Fortune of War, is next door. Catch a ferry from the Quay for the full Sydney Harbour experience.
